Comment on John's advanced encaustic art courses ...

Recently I spent 2 days with John Buckland using a large heat tray to enable me to achieve large encaustic paintings up to A2 in size. This method of melting up the wax and the use of tissue paper to obtain all the effects from smooth washes for a sky to foliage and rock faces is both interesting and very effective. John's fantasy pictures inspire one to develop one's own imagination and to move away from the typical landscapes. I can thoroughly recommend his course and I feel sure that anyone will find it enjoyable and instructive.
