one of a set of twelve images created for a greetings card range at the start of the 1990's. the printed reproduction cards were all A5 images (148 x 210mm). all the green foliage for this "natural garden" image was created with the iron using the dabbing suction effect. less wax creates a finer lighter area. the stream was formed by rubbing with tissue. as the friction builds heat the wax softens and starts to rub off, leaving lighter areas. the water was added with the iron and the waterfall created firstly by a swooshing down stroke from the iron, then a little addition of white wax from the stylus or crayoned on with the blocks directly in place. the details of flowers, dragonflies & and so on were added with the the low heat stylus tool.
