sometimes a chaotic abstract background offers suggestion to your mind, to your eye. this one encouraged the idea of an underwater sea-life place. some simplistic fish shapes were added along with a bit of floaty weed & a red anemone form. now the image is presented in a way that makes the abstract become a place. the viewer is led into a sea-life scene rather than just experiencing an abstract image. simple clues like this can alter images quickly & dramatically.


the background chaotic abstract used in this approach is covered in various ways in much of the encaustic art beginners information.
