chaotic abstract relies on pleasing colour blend & interesting forms that sit in a satisfying composition. it is messing about really, noticing at each stroke the new result & how it has developed the whole image, either for better or worse. too much mixing will usually result in muddy colours unless close harmonic colours are chosen.
