the sleigh stamp was used to work directly into the wax for this image. first the iron was converted into a mini hotplate then the wax colour melted on. in 3 bands - blue - red- blue. whilst the card was kept warm over the mini hotplate, tissue was wiped over the wax to create the red arcing band. the stamp was then placed back on the card, in the correct position, with the card resting on the mini hotplate iron without any added wax on the stamp. it forms a lighter impression of the santa sleigh image. the stamp was used to dab in the various marks on the border area, whilst the card was moved around on top of the mini hotplate, thus melting the appropriate areas for re-working. quick & easy for christmas!
