encaustic collection Registered: September 2006 Location: Wales, UK based Posts: 96	this image was filmed being created & is on the DVD below. Beannie Cronin, from Ireland, rolled the stretch canvas with wax colour using the hotplate as the palette & a hot air gun to warm the canvas during working. The flower wax was added using the iron, then blown into shape with the hot air gun. the stems and leaf details were added with the stylus & after a final polishing it was sealed with wax sealer for added protection. see a bit more about how this was created here See this being created live in "Exploring Ideas in Encaustic Art" DVD
