cover the white card with no.03 orange and no.10 ultra marine blue wax, then swirl the iron around a few times to create a mixing. notice how the areas where the colours combine create a grey tone and hue. in the light areas where the wax had been smoothed right off during the swirling some fresh colour has been crayoned in. this is a useful technique for adding colour without disturbing or melting the surrounding areas.
