This piece is a creation made by use of the hot air gun to blow the wax colours and blend them together. It started life by being coated with wax on the hotplate, but that creative approach became rather confused, so the hot air gun was used to see if the piece could find a new and successful direction. The card was laid upon a rigid backing board, protected by some disposable waste paper. This enabled the flexible support card of the artwork to be tilted and panned, allowing the wax colours to flow in a fairly controlled manner - all the time watching, and always being clear about when to rest the work.
