a personal image of movement in states of understanding.


The image background was first rubbed on with molten wax from the hotplate on a piece of tee shirt fabric. Once the light was created then the figure was added in a similar way. The light streaks were 'rub outs' where the fabric held no wax colour, so removed some of the pigment. The tree lines were added using the hot air gun to warm the canvas then running the pigmented wax block over that part.

objective: thin layer wax on stretch canvas is sucessful. heavier applications can flake off or crack.
