this image is unusual because of the use of the hair dryer to blow mildly heated air which forces the wax to spread more than a hot air gun would do. the back ground colours were applied on a hotplate then the thicker lines were blown out into finer thinner coverings. the white area was rubbed clean with standard boxed tissue. all figurative and facial forms are incidental and emerged as part of the process, not preconceptions that were painted or formed purposefully.
