one of a set of twelve images created for a greetings card range at the start of the 1990's. the printed reproduction cards were all A5 images (148 x 210mm). this one, titled "inner light" began with the downward beam of light being created by the drag through method on the hotplate. the wax was melted in vertical bands, then the card was dragged down to become coated by the molten pool of wax. whilst still molten the coating of wax was then blown gently, using a hot air gun, making a smoother form . the figure was added with the the low heat stylus tool. the star was scribed (scratched) out then crayoned over with white wax and finger rubbed to soften & blur the misty effect.
