Poster: encaustic collection  (see this users gallery)

the low heat stylus tool has several interchangeable heads or tips. this tree graphic was created with the "drawing tip" which is based on a split nib idea. the wax melts into the tip & remains there through capillary action, but when the slotted area touches the work surface the surface tension of the wax is broken and it flows out in a controlled manner. this make it similar to a pen and yet it can be used to blend colours very easily. it is ideal for all graphical input, drawing, shading, blending & so on.
