Elisabeth van Uden was born on the 14th December 1938 in Eindhoven, Netherlands. She undertook a 3 day encaustic art training in the Netherlands in 1992 when Michael Bossom started the International expansion of the techniques he had developed successfully in the UK .

Since then Elisabeth has helped and trained many hundreds of students in Holland and Germany as well as receiving numerous guests from far and wide to her studio. Elisabeth has also made a teaching DVD called "From Hobby to Art" - see below
