These soft rubber style ended tools are made for moving the wax about when it is molten. They can be used in loads of ways. Molten colour can be picked up and then deposited. Patterns and textures are easy to create providing the work surface is warmed, either by hotplate of hot air. Different tip shapes provide options for very fine working or bolder strokes. Useful for Oils and Acrylics too. The Painting Iron (99530100) can be set up as a small Hot Plate / heated palette where waxes can be mixed, etc. The A2+ Hotplate "The Ultimate" is as an excellent heat source for keeping waxes molten and placing your working support upon. Regular encaustic card, watercolour paper, even stretch canvas are all good in this way. Great for working with Hot Air techniques that also enable virtually any surface to be used - boards, etc
